Website How To: Registering New Users with our Directory

Our Online Directory only shows the public First Name, Last Name, Address, and public phone number. This information is updated if the person has an account on our website (as in a username and password). If a new person registers on the site, the address record in the database will need to be linked to their user profile. This is how you do that:

  1. When a new user signs up on the site, the email account admin@mtpgneighborhood.com is alerted with the username and email of the new user.
  2. First, login and find the address of the new user by clicking Users>>All Users on the left side.
  3. Search for the new user by email. You can also look filter users by “Subscribers” to find the new user. Any new user will be registered first as a subscriber.
  4. Click “Edit” to edit the new user.
  5. Add the “Neighbors” and “Registered” group to the users groups by default (any other groups are not required). The “Neighbors” Group allows users to see the directory when logged in.
  6. Save the User.
  7. Next Go to the Participants Database tab on the left and choose “List Participants”.  Search for the address of the new user.
  8. Notice the column called “Private ID”. This will match to a field in the users’ profile
