Our Online Directory only shows the public First Name, Last Name, Address, and public phone number. This information is updated if the person has an account on our website (a username and password). There are other fields that administrators can record and see for record keeping purposes.
So you want to edit a record in the Directory? Make sure you read all of this post!
- First, it’s important to also understand how the user profiles and Directory information is linked. Each profile has a field at the bottom that says “Participant ID”. This is a direct one-to-one match to the addresses in the Directory.
- Potential Issue: If Russ and his wife Barb both sign up on the site and both live at the same address, then there will be TWO Directory records, (each user has a link to a single directory row), meaning we will have duplicate addresses. Not to Fret, since the addresses are standardized input we can find a way to get distinct records if we need.
- Second, understand that as of this writing we have 96 registered users on our website. Each of those users is linked to a record in the Directory so that if users’ phone number changes, when they login and update it, it will automatically update the Directory!
- CAVEAT: That means, for example, suppose a user decided to omit their last name on their website profile. If you update the directory with the last name, and then they update their information on their profile, the information on the profile will OVERWRITE any changes in the directory.

To access the Directory or make changes: (again, please keep in mind, if the directory address is linked to a user, any changes the user makes on their profile will overwrite the directory)
- Hover on the left over “Participants Database”
- Click “List Participants”
- Search for your participant and click the pencil icon.
- Updated and click Save.
To Mass edit the Directory:
- Click “List Participants”
- Scroll to the bottom (edit your file name if necessary) and click “Download CSV for this list”
To Mass Add to the Directory (not recommended):
- Click “Import CSV” under “Participants Database”
- Download the blank file.
- Fill it out and import it.
